The horse sleigh ride with a bonfire and grilled sausages is an old Polish winter tradition suitable for groups of friends or familes. The trip includes a pick-up from your apartment, transport to the Koscielisko area and back to the apartment.
Kulig Trip includes
- Transport to the area where the horses and sleighs are.
- Bonfire with Polish sausage and tea.
- Transport back to your apartment.
The kulig was a sleigh ride party organized among the Polish aristocracy. A procession of horse-pulled sleighs and sleds went from one manor house to another, entertained everywhere with hearty meals followed by dancing.
The trips we offer start in the late afternoon. We meet the Horse Sleigh in a beautiful the nearby Village, you wil be driven around on the sleigh in the village and through a meadow, this will be followed by a bonfire and sausages before returning back for pickup.
If you are a big group please check with us first as the prices can be different. This trip is subject to weather conditions and can be cancelled on short notice due to snow conditions or rain.
Other useful info
- The trip is usually only available between 12.12. 2018 and 28.02.2019.
- Pick up time is around 16:00.
- The trip takes about 2hrs.
- Wear warm clothes, gloves and hats.
- The sleighs are usually 4 seaters so if you are only 2 people you will share your sleigh with someone.
- The activity is not available Christmas Eve, Christmas day and New Year day.

The view is amazing and the facilities are great to unwind at the end of an action packed active day, which Retha is also happy to organise for us. We would recommend a hike in the area, fat biking and a snowboard lesson organised through Retha. Next time we are in Zakopane we would definitely stay here again! -

Cross country is a fun, all body workout winter sport. There are some well prepared routes around Zakopane and we have very good intructors to help you on your way. For those of you seeking to learn a new skill or try a different winter sport this is the perfect start. It is not necessary to be able to ski before you learn how to cross country ski.

We offer an introduction to snowshoe walking tour in specially selected areas around Zakopane. We adjust the route plan to where the snow condtitions are the best on the day. The winter husky ride trips tkes places in a very scenic area on Gubałowka Hill. We will pick you up from your apartment, drive you to where you will meet the dogs and from where you will start the ride. On clear days the view from the area is really amazing and this is one of those unforgetable experiences.
Ice Climbing trip
Ice climbing is becoming more popular for those visiting Tatra mountains and looking to try something new and more challenging. For most this is a truly unforgettable experience. The course is only available some winter months so be sure to check with us. You need to have previous climbing experience and a reasonable level of fitness.The trip includes transport to the start of the trail and transport back.
Snowmobile Tours
Snowmobile rides is one of the most fun winter activities in the area. It's your chance to experience the winter landscape while enjoying an adventure ride. The trips take place either in Witow or Gubałówka Hill area and offer some beautiful views of the surrounding winter landscape and the Tatra mountains.
