Zakopane and the surrounding area is really good for beginner skiing or snowboarding. The slopes are in general not difficult and most are wide and provide enough space for complete beginners to learn. We work with some of the best instructors in Zakopane and provide professional lessons with transport to and from the slopes.
Ski or Snowboard lesson includes:
- Transport to one of the beginner slopes from your place of stay in Zakopane.
- Help with ski rental.
- Full 2-hour lesson from when you start your warm-up.
Learning how to ski or snowboard can be easy and fun. If it is your very first time, our instructors will go through the basics with you and first get you comfortable walking up the slope on the skis, stopping and all the other things necesarry for you to feel secure and ready for the lift.
We found that 1-hour lessons are generally not long enough as there are many things to cover in the first lesson. We offer 1-hour lessons for people interested in only improving their technique.
After the lesson you should be able to make it down a beginner slope.
What's not included:
- You can choose to stay longer at the slope and practise more after the lesson, we will explain to you how to get a bus back to your apartment or arrange a taxi for you, this will however be at your own cost.
- Gear rental; We will take you to the rental and help you pick the right gear, prices are around PLN 80 for a set.
- Ski clothes; We have some clothes to rent but please first enquire about this when you book your lessons.
- Ski pass; The price depends on the slope you will be at and also how long you would like to stay after your lesson.
Other useful info
- Skiing and snowboarding is a very good form of exercise and you will deffinitely get a good workout from your lesson.
- There are many slopes around Zakopane and we will pick the one most suitable on the day of your lesson.

The view is amazing and the facilities are great to unwind at the end of an action packed active day, which Retha is also happy to organise for us. The ride takes about 30 minutes one way, then there is a small break for taking pictures on the area and then a return you to the start of the valley. Learn about some of the most famous Zakopane residents and people who helped promote the town as a vacation destination. Walk along the streets to see examples of all the different architecture including the famous Zakopane wooden house style. Visit the famous cemetery, wooden church and also a heritage museum in the oldest street in town.
Snowshoe Walking Tour
We offer an introduction to snowshoe walking tour in specially selected areas around Zakopane. We adjust the route plan to where the snow condtitions are the best on the day. All of our routes offer beautiful views and a unique, fun experience. The walk lasts 2 hours and in some circumstances can be combined with other activities such as ski or snowboard lessons or Kulig rides. You can also choose a longer hike in mountains :)
