Location: Harenda is situated about 10 min drive from the centre of Zakopane and offers an easy learning area with normal drag ski lift and harder runs from the top of the chairlift.The main slope is quite steep with a 210m incline over 900m.
How to get there: Take a mini bus from the main station towards Harenda for 10zl or a cab from the centre for about 15zl. If you're arriving to Zakopane by car, take the right exit to Harenda just after the welcome to Zakopane sign.
Ski Rental/Instruction: There are a few Ski Rental places as well as a Ski School with English speaking instructors.
Other facilities: Parking & Resturants. *Depending on the snow conditions there are sometimes an ice ring; cross country track and ski park.
TIPS:
- Harenda has some of the best views over Zakopane so even if you're a beginner you should take the chairlift up atleast once.
- You can walk to Gubałówka or even further to Szymoszkowa from the top of Harenda.
- It's quite steap at the top so try the small lift first if you've not been on skies for awhile.
