Taking the cable car up Kasprowy Wierch is a great way of seeing the Tatra National Park. The views from the ride itself are amazing and on top of the mountain you have the chance to be in both Poland and Slovakia at the same time.

Kasprowy Wierch

The cable car trip to Mount Kasprowy (1987 m) takes approximately 10 minutes and takes place in two stages with a change in Myślenickie Turnie (1325 m). The cable car operates all year long but can be very busy in high season and also ski season as Kasprowy Wierch is one of the highest ski areas in Poland. Once at the top of the mountains you will have beautiful views over the Polish Tatras, Zakopane and the Slovakian Tatras as the border area is marked by the ridge on Kasprowy Wierch. There is a restaurant area that serves traditional food and also a meteor centre. There are some easy walking trails on the ridge in the summer and even in the winter. In the summer we suggest taking the cable car up and walking down as the routes are well marked with mountain shelters for refreshments on the way. For more of a challenge you can also walk up and take the cable car down.
